![]() The original WIndows 8 Pro product key is listed in the BIOS (OEM Key) and it is different from the now newly upgraded Windows 10 Home Single Language version 2004. Microsoft or anyone else care to explain? Now after the latest update it has seemingly been downgraded to Windows 10 Home Single Language Edition. It has since been updated without any issues right up to Windows 10 version 1909 and has always remained a Windows 10 Pro edition. This laptop originally had Windows 8.1 installed on it and was upgraded to Windows 10 when Microsoft allowed upgrades for free - yeah back then. I have tried several times and I am definitely connected to the internet but it won't change the product key. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again. "Unable to upgrade your edition - something interrupted our troubleshooting. I tried entering the Windows 10 Pro product key in the change product key field but I get an error: Th eupdate to 2004 was successful but the OS Build now shows Windows 10 Home Single Language instead of Windows 10 Pro - why I had Windows 10 Pro version 1909 at the time. My laptop prompted me to update to the latest version of Windows 10 version 2004.
